EarthWorms
An Earthworms digestive system is one of a kind. The digestive system includes the Pharynx, the esophagus, the crop, the intestine, and the gizzard. Food enters the mouth and is swallowed by the pharynx. Then the food passes through the esophagus where there is calciferous glands that help get rid of the excess calcium in the earthworms body. It then moves into the crop where it is stored and then moves into the gizzard. The gizzard uses the stones that the earthworm eats to to chew up the food completely. Food moves into the intestines as gland cells in the intestine release fluids to help the digestive system. The food is then sent throughout the whole body.
