Latrodectus
Black widow spiders are arachnids that are known for the females' unique appearance and tendency to eat their mates. They are considered the most venomous spiders in North America. They
are identified by red hourglass marking on the
underside of their abdomens. Black widows are shiny black in color. Most black
widow spiders’ bodies are 3 to 10 mm in size. Females are larger than males and
can measure 13 mm in body length

Digestive system
1. The spiders are the only animals that digest their food ouside their
bodies. 2. After the spider finds its prey, it expels digestive enzymes from its intestinal tract onto the prey. [1] 3.After enzymes break down the tissue in the prey, the spider sucks in the liquid. 4.The spider does this process until the whole prey is digested. 5.In the process of excretion, the spider releases waste from the anus. 6. Spiders have organs called malipighiam tubules which create an acid solution that helps waste pass out the spider. |
