Starfish Digestion
The starfish feeds on food it passes over because its mouth is located on the underside of its body or its stomach can be extended outside of its body where the tube feet pass it food. Digestive glands pump enzymes into the stomach where the food is digested and nutrients absorbed. Waste is passed out at the anus which is located on the top part of the starfish's body, opposite its mouth.
