Snail Digestion
Snails find decaying matter or plants to eat. The food is taken into the mouth and the radula grinds it into tiny pieces. Snails are said to be noisy eaters, but it's actually the sound of the radula grinding the food you hear. Food passes through the esophagus and into the stomach where it is digested by enzymes. Nutrients are absorbed in the digestive tract and undigested waste is excreted out of the anus.
